Most people did their quarterly reviews at the beginning of April. I will have my reviews in thirds. Here is a list of the things I am really grateful for in the first third of the year.
Yaayyy!!!! GloPoWriMo is done. Just giving myself a pat on the back for this one hey. It wasn’t easy but I got through and you can bet on me doing it again next year.It was great fun. I first learnt about the challenge last year and I have had it on my MUST DO list since then. The wait couldn’t have been longer. When April finally came this year I couldn’t have been happier. It was a great way to evolve my creativeness. It helped me develop my writing, by putting myself in different situations. I made sure I wrote every day no matter the situation and I have never been so in love with writing than I am now. I couldn’t have done it without the prompts, they really helped a lot!!
These guys have basically become family to me. Poets from all over the continent come together every evening and pen their hearts away. I didn’t know about picture poetry til I got involved with Poetritis Nirvana. As they say a writer can live a thousand lives, and this has become testament in my writing. This movement has seen me grow into a better writer and developed my writing skills. I am really humbled and privileged to be a part of them.
This blog has been more than just a blog to me. It is my healing place, my therapy, my sanctuary. This year I kinda vowed to be more consistent in my posts. This accompanied by a new look to the blog, a Facebook page and guest posts were some of the things on my resolution list and I am happy to say I have been able to tick off the list quite a bit and and glad with my progress…
Here’s to a great 2017!
